Air Fry Roast Sprouts

Air fryer roast sprouts are a nutritious and delicious side dish that offers a healthy twist on traditional roasted vegetables. By using an air fryer, the sprouts become crispy on the outside while remaining tender on the inside, creating a perfect texture combination.

Ingredients

  • 500g/1lb 2oz small Brussels sprouts, peeled, washed and halved
  • 180g/6¼oz ready-to-eat chestnuts, halved
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 100g/3½oz pancetta, cubed
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 180°C.
  2. In a bowl, combine the sprouts and chestnuts with the oil, ensuring they are evenly coated. Season the mixture generously with salt and pepper, then add the pancetta.
  3. Arrange the sprout mixture in a single layer in the air fryer, possibly requiring multiple batches. Cook for 18-20 minutes, remembering to toss the sprouts halfway through. The goal is to achieve tender sprouts with a crisp exterior, along with perfectly crisp pancetta. Enjoy this delicious and flavorful dish as a side or main course.
