The Tefal EY506840 Easy Fry Vision Air Fryer & Grill is my kitchen’s new best friend. With energy costs soaring and a desire to cut down on oven use, this air fryer has totally changed the game for me. No more waiting 15 minutes for the oven to heat up. Instant heat is here, and I’m loving it!
One of its coolest features is the clear window, so I can keep an eye on the cooking process without messing with the heat. But, I’ve learned that shaking it a bit is key for getting that perfect brown.
This versatile appliance is a lifesaver with a max temperature of 200°C and a default 30-minute cook time. The presets are handy, but I often use my oven cooking experience to figure out the temperature and time, usually cutting the cook time by about 50%. For foods that are sensitive to temperature, starting at a lower temperature and gradually increasing it gives you the best crispiness.
The sturdy construction and efficient non-stick, removable grill make this a reliable addition to my kitchen. Greaseproof paper is my go-to for easy cleanup, but some foods benefit from direct contact with the grill for even cooking.
This air fryer is a champ at cooking pre-packaged meals and making healthier versions of “fried” foods. In just 20 minutes, I cooked a delicious Pork Tenderloin that was caramelised on the outside and tender on the inside, way faster than a conventional oven.
It’s too early to say for sure how much energy it saves, but it’s definitely saved me a ton of time in the kitchen.
Tefal is a well-known brand for making cool stuff, and I was surprised to find out that their customer service is just as good. If you need help, they’re super responsive and helpful. I highly recommend this cooker.
