Air fry brownies have a unique flavour profile that balances the richness of traditional brownies with a slightly lighter texture. The exterior is usually crisp, providing a delightful contrast to the moist and fudgy interior.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup (40g) unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup (65g) all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder

Method

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 160°C (320°F) for about 5 minutes.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix together the melted butter and sugar. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, and stir until well combined.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined. Do not overmix.
  5. Line a small baking pan or dish that fits into your air fryer with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  6. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly.
  7. Place the pan in the air fryer basket and air fry at 160°C (320°F) for 15-18 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the centre comes out mostly clean.
  8. Allow the brownies to cool in the pan before cutting them into squares. Serve and enjoy!
  • 💡 You can add nuts, chocolate chips, or marshmallows to give your brownies a special twist.
  • 💡 For fudgier brownies, reduce the cooking time slightly. For a more cake-like texture, increase it by a few minutes.
  • 💡 Store any leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
