Ingredients

  • 1 kg (about 2 pounds) chicken wings
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Optional: your favourite sauce for tossing, e.g. buffalo, barbecue, or honey garlic

Method

  1. Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels to remove any excess moisture. This helps them crisp up in the air fryer.
  2. In a large bowl, toss the wings with olive oil, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika until evenly coated.
  3. Set your air fryer to 200°C (400°F) and let it preheat for about 5 minutes.
  4. Place the wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding. Cook for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until they are golden brown and crispy.
  5. If desired, toss the cooked wings in your choice of sauce and return to the air fryer for an additional 2-3 minutes to set the sauce.
  6. Serve immediately with your favourite dipping sauce or side.
