Air frying potato fries is the best method. Add whatever spices you like to the hand made fries or keep a bag of frozen handy for those meals in a hurry.
Ingredients
- 2 large russet potatoes
- 1-2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt, to taste
- Pepper, to taste
- Optional seasonings: garlic powder, paprika, onion powder, etc.
Instructions
- Wash and peel the potatoes. Cut them into thin strips or wedges, about 1/4 inch to 1/2 inch thick.
- Soak the cut potatoes in cold water for about 30 minutes to remove excess starch. Then, drain and pat them dry with a paper towel.
- Place the dried potatoes in a bowl and toss with olive oil, salt, pepper, and any other desired seasonings until evenly coated.
- Preheat your air fryer to 380-400°F (190-200°C) for a few minutes.
- Cook the fries in the air fryer for about 15-20 minutes, shaking or flipping them halfway through the cooking time for even browning.
- Check the fries for desired crispiness. If needed, cook for an additional few minutes until they reach your preferred level of crispiness.
- Once done, remove the fries from the air fryer and season with additional salt if desired. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
Enjoy your crispy and delicious air-fried potato fries!
